The Type 7: A Tool Watch, Reimagined
Introduced in March 2025 to mark Ressence’s 15th anniversary, the Type 7 is the Antwerp-based independent’s most robust creation. It packs a 41mm Grade 5 titanium case, an integrated titanium bracelet, and the brand’s signature oil-filled dial into a package that weighs just 123 grams and offers 50m water resistance. Add a GMT complication, a fixed ceramic bezel, and Ressence’s patented disc-based time display, and you have a tool watch that operates in a category of one.
Type 7 Black: Maximum Contrast, Maximum Clarity
The Black dial takes Ressence’s oil-filled architecture to its most dramatic extreme. The oil chamber beneath the sapphire crystal deepens the background to an almost absolute black, allowing the bright white indices and orbiting discs to pop with screen-like, near-digital clarity.

Type 7 Cactus: Titanium-Tuned Green
The Cactus colourway introduces a rich, warm green developed specifically to complement Grade 5 titanium. Unlike steel, titanium carries a subtle yellow undertone, and the Cactus green has been calibrated to sit naturally against the metal’s glass-pearled finish. The result is a sun-drenched, organic hue that reads far richer in person than on paper — a bold statement without shouting.
Two Straps, Two Personalities
Both new models launch with a complementary colour-matched rubber strap. Swapping the integrated titanium bracelet for rubber drops the weight and shifts the watch’s character toward something sportier and more aquatic — perfect for summer.

The titanium bracelet, meanwhile, features a deployant clasp with five micro-adjustment positions, ensuring a secure, centred fit for daily wear.
What’s Inside
The Type 7 is driven by Ressence’s patented ROCS 7 module — a mechanical ballet of 37 gears, 37 jewels, and 391 components powered by a customised automatic calibre beating at 28,800 vph. The dial itself is a convex Grade 5 titanium disc (75mm in diameter) housing three eccentric biaxial satellites that display hours, a second time zone, and a 120-minute running indicator that doubles as a shock absorber. All indications are engraved and filled with Grade A Super-LumiNova, and the entire display is suspended in 2.95ml of oil for zero-reflection legibility from any angle.
Setting the watch is pure Ressence: there is no crown. Winding and time-setting are handled via the Compression Lock System (RCLS) on the caseback, while magnetic transmission bridges the air-filled movement chamber and the oil-filled dial.
