Louis Erard - 2340 Mauve and Forest
Louis Erard continues to refine its integrated sports watch proposition with the arrival of two new dial variations for the 2340. Joining the permanent collection, the 2340 Mauve and 2340 Forest keep the exact same architecture that defined the line—hybrid titanium and steel construction, a custom integrated bracelet, and an exceptionally slim profile—while introducing two very different characters through color and texture.
“2340 starts with construction. The case, the bracelet, the proportions. With Mauve and Forest, we did not touch that foundation. We worked where a detail changes everything: the dial,” says Louis Erard CEO Manuel Emch. “Same 2340, two different attitudes. That is where Louis Erard likes to work: in the detail that changes everything.”
Color Takes Shape
The 2340 Mauve presents a soft, luminous purple lacquered dial stamped with an oblong pill pattern. The rounded, rhythmic texture echoes the polished center links of the bracelet, giving the watch a fluid, contemporary warmth. In contrast, the 2340 Forest deploys a deep green lacquered surface cut with horizontal stamped lines, lending a sharper, more graphic presence that emphasizes the angular geometry of the case.
Both dials retain the collection’s clean, symmetrical layout: a white transferred minute track, applied rhodium-plated diamond-cut indexes with blue-emission Super-LumiNova, and a satin-finished plaque at 3 o’clock engraved with the “LE” logo. The rhodium-plated hands feature satin-brushed tops, polished bevels, and matching SLN treatment. The absence of a date window preserves the dial’s balance and restraint.
Built as One
The 2340 remains Louis Erard’s first fully integrated bracelet design. The five-link construction combines satin-finished titanium outer links with polished stainless steel center links, tapering from 28 mm at the case to 20 mm at the clasp. Comprising 92 individual components and closing with a concealed butterfly clasp, the bracelet is engineered to flow seamlessly into the 40 mm cushion case.
The hybrid case construction is key to the 2340’s appeal: a satin-finished titanium case middle keeps weight low, while polished stainless steel defines the bezel, lugs, crown, caseback, and the four signature gadroons that sculpt the flanks. The result is a wearable, balanced package measuring just 8.95 mm in thickness and 41.50 mm lug-to-lug, with a domed sapphire crystal featuring anti-reflective treatment on both sides and 50 meters of water resistance.
Slim Automatic Calibre
Powering both models is the Sellita SW300-1 automatic movement in élaboré grade. At just 3.60 mm high, the caliber helps maintain the case’s remarkably slim profile for an integrated sports watch. It beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and delivers approximately 56 hours of power reserve, visible through a black lacquered openworked rotor bearing the Louis Erard symbol.
