Still today the foremost master watchmakers are established in the Jura, in a region whose name is admired and respected throughout the world. Visiting the Jura is an immersion in time, and a doorway to understanding the restraint and refinement of their watches.
Revisited, personalised, and even exclusive, the movement is the crux of each of Louis Erard’s creations. More than a machine, it is the soul of their watches. Naturally, and with a particular fondness for regulators, they return again and again to horological complications, finding new ways to express each one. Regulators, moon phases and other sophisticated chronographs benefit from their watchmakers’ care and attention, and from in-house modules which they develop in Le Noirmont.
The Louis Erard blue has been inspired by the magical blue hour - the time after the sun sinks below the horizon and the sky is washed in a deep blue. It is also an elegant nod to the traditional blue screws and hands of Swiss watchmaking.
