The goldsmith’s craft, brought to the Monday.
The Renaud Tixier Monday Skeleton reimagines the brand’s 2024 Monday model as a fully skeletonised timepiece from watchmakers Dominique Renaud and Julien Tixier, issued in two limited‑edition runs of 15 pieces each in blue and green.
Two Styles, One Exacting Standard
The Renaud Tixier Monday Skeleton reimagines the brand’s 2024 Monday model as a fully skeletonised timepiece from watchmakers Dominique Renaud and Julien Tixier, issued in two limited‑edition runs of 15 pieces each in blue and green. Dominique Renaud brings deep expertise in movement design, complications and skeletonisation, while Julien Tixier delivers master‑level hand‑finishing including bevelling, black polishing and hand‑formed inward angles. Together they evolve the original Monday toward a distinctly contemporary skeleton expression.
The new RVI2025 skeleton calibre
Powering the watch is the new RVI2025 skeleton calibre. While the earlier RVI2023 movement was not designed for openworking, its architecture naturally lent itself to skeletonisation. All 262 components receive in‑house hand finishing at the Tolochenaz workshop, finished with traditional haute horlogerie decor. Standout details are 238 hand‑executed inward angles, alongside a hand‑engraved barrel‑ratchet bridge decorated with grand‑feu enamel, visible via the display caseback.
The model preserves Monday’s patented microrotor winding innovation. Nicknamed “the dancer”, a platinum flywheel‑propulsion spring unit inside the platinum microrotor draws on automotive‑derived energy‑recovery principles to capture faint wrist movement for efficient winding. A built‑in declutching mechanism also defends the movement from shock damage.
A Subtle Aesthetic in Two Colourways
Housed in a 40.8 mm 18‑carat grey‑gold case with hand‑engraved caseband and lugs, each limited edition features a skeleton dial exposing the movement architecture. Coordinating blue or green accents colour the small‑seconds counter, skeletonised dauphine‑style hands and brushed rehaut. A hand‑stitched full‑grain alligator leather strap and 18‑carat white‑gold pin buckle finalise each watch.
