Le Régulateur Louis Erard x Konstantin Chaykin III
Two years ago, Louis Erard and Konstatin Chaykin unleashed their first collaboration. Russian watchmaker Konstantin Chaykin, known for his creation of bizarre but brilliant collectibles, came together with Louis Erard, an innovative Swiss watchmaker who merges tradition and modernity, to release what became nicknamed as Time Eater. Today, the legendary Time Eater returns in a double 178-piece edition with two new color variants, one sold by Louis Erard and the other by Konstantin Chaykin.
Both share the same expressive dial blending the signature vertical Louis Erard Regulator display and Chaykin’s unmistakable WristMonster face. The mechanical self-winding regulator features a hypnotic mono-eye hours disk at 12 o’clock, an always-watching convex white orb with a little black pupil. The central minutes hand is rebelliously wavy - one end raising a defiant finger while the other flashing a rock’n’roll salute. Seconds are marked by a rotating sharp-toothed mouth set at 6 o’clock.
The blue model, marked by a 42mm blue minutes ring, is sold by Louis Erard. The watch hand moves over a grey lower plate with a sunburst wave pattern and the strap is of black toad leather, with blue stitching and blue rabbit leather lining. The blue edition is available via Louis Erard’s official retailers and online boutique while the red edition is sold exclusively by Konstantin Chaykin.
