Ressence Event October 2025

We had the honor of holding an event with Ressence’s Founder, Benoît Mintiens, at The Lavish Attic. During the event, Benoît Mintiens showcased a variety of the different Ressence models, sneak peak of the Marc Newson Type 3 watch, and a fascinating perspective of the innovative industrial design reflected in Ressence’s watches.

Type 7 is Ressence’s first integrated-bracelet sport-chic design watch, carved from Grade-5 titanium and filled with 2.95 ml of oil so the orbital dial appears to float under the domed sapphire. A fixed ceramic bezel frames the Night Blue “screen,” while a magnetic transmission drives the ROCS 7 module—hours, minutes, running seconds, oil-temperature gauge and a debut GMT hand—all glowing with Grade A Super-LumiNova.

Type 8 DE1. Only 40 pieces of this titanium canvas exist. German artist Daniel Engelberg translated his Inside Out wood sculptures into laser-etched titanium: concentric pink gradients that seem to sink into the convex dial while the ROCS 8 orbits the black center dot. A matching pink rubber strap turns the lightest Type 8 into living, wearable pop-art.

A midnight-blue galaxy you can wear: the Type 1 Round does away with every convention—no crown, no lugs, no traditional hands—so the convex sapphire becomes a single, uninterrupted horizon.

Inside, the self-winding ROCS 1.3 module choreographs three orbiting discs and an outer chapter ring, all bathed in Night Blue sun-ray that flips from coal-black to electric cobalt as light moves. The 42 mm Grade-5 titanium case is satin-finished, 11 mm thin and curved on every plane, letting the watch melt onto the wrist while the oil-free display stays impossibly legible at any angle.

Thank you for Ressence’s Founder Benoît Mintiens and everyone who joined us at the Ressence event! Watching the Ressence timepieces in motion, with its oil-filled dials that seem to float without hands, was nothing short of mesmerising.
