It was a privilege to host Founder Lilian Thibault and offer our guests an exclusive first look at the brand’s newest novelties.
The event was a true immersion into Awake’s world, where innovative, eco-conscious materials meet striking contemporary design. Guests had the unique opportunity to converse with Lilian himself, gaining insight into the philosophy that drives this forward-thinking brand.
Inherited from a centuries-old tradition, Awake’s Sơn Mài technique consists of applying, superimposing, and then polishing multiple layers of natural lacquer until a mirror-like finish of unparalleled depth is achieved. Unlike Chinese and Japanese schools, Vietnamese artisans incorporate precious materials into the lacquer— gold, mother-of-pearl, and silver leaf—creating unique textures, reliefs, and plays of light to perfect the dial.

Each dial in Awake’s watches are deep, luminous, and textured, conceived as a true work of art.
Inspired by the Earth’s hues as seen from space, the Frosted Leaf’s three interpretations—in blue, green, and moka—pay tribute to oceans, forests, and fertile lands.
Awake’s Silver Leaf watch uses the silver leaf technique in incorporating precious materials into the lacquer. The Golden Hour edition is a limited edition of 100 pieces.
