Amida - The Digitrend OSII Black
AMIDA today reveals the next step of its journey: the Digitrend OSII Black. Born from the desire to continue the legacy of the 1976 icon, this timepiece is the evolution of the OSII concept.
Limited to 150 pieces, it features AMIDA's proprietary jumping-hour module encased in a new black PVD internal framework, and, for the first time, a fully lumed display — made possible by a full sapphire hood that allows light to reach all the way to the core. These elements combine to create the design from the future we were promised.
A Designer’s Duty: Materializing the Change
The space-age aesthetic was preserved by a small, dedicated group of visionaries who refused to let the dream of mid-century design fade into history. The OSII Black was designed to validate this belief. It creates a physical continuity between the eras, proving that the organic curves and mechanical audacity of the past were never obsolete — they were simply waiting for the right moment to shine again.

Engineered to Evolved from the Past
The sapphire hood is not a window — it is a lens. Machined from a single block, it draws light inward, flooding the movement from every angle and exposing what was once concealed. With the interior now visible, the mechanics could no longer remain utilitarian. AMIDA sculpted a DLC-coated 316L steel skeleton that wraps around the jumping-hour module, turning every gear and bridge into a deliberate design gesture. The light that enters does not simply illuminate — it charges. BGW9 Super-LumiNova® indices absorb it through the crystal, then ignite in the dark. Where the original Digitrend disappeared at night, the OSII Black projects a "Nocturnal Form" that extends its design language into the hours after sunset.
