Massena Lab Event December 2025
This week we had the honour of holding an event with Massena Lab founder William Massena at The Lavish Attic for an exquisite trunk show.
During the event, attendees were able to receive a detailed introduction from William Massena to the fine collection of Massena Lab and collaboration timepieces, and have the opportunity to acquire these limited horological pieces.
Old Soul by Vianney Halter × Massena LAB
A regulator-style masterpiece powered by a 1920s-vintage Minerva 17'22 movement—entirely hand-finished before CNC existed. Its "mystery" minute hand appears to float on a sapphire disc, while Halter's signature steampunk rivets and layered dial create an optical illusion. Limited to just 47 pieces worldwide.
TZ30 by Massena LAB × Raúl Pages
The TZ30 by Massena LAB and Raúl Pagès, released December 2025, celebrates TimeZone.com’s 30th anniversary, with a handmade Italian pebbled calf strap in warm mocha and a hypnotic vertically brushed blue dial that shifts from deep indigo to vibrant cobalt—an observatory layout echoing the legendary Patek Philippe Ref. 2458.
Noctograph by Massena LAB × Raúl Pages
Its petrol-blue dial shifts from slate to midnight, vertically brushed for mesmerizing depth. Sharp-eyed collectors will spot Massena's signature at 4 o'clock. Feuille hands inspired by 1930s–1950s classics float above a rhodium-plated chapter ring. Inside beats the manual-wind Caliber M660: 60-hour power reserve, Côtes de Genève, hand-chamfered bridges, and Pagès' tortoise signature hidden under the balance wheel. Housed in a 38.5mm steel case with an Italian dove-grey leather strap.
Absinthe by Massena LAB × Raúl Pages
A hypnotic emerald dial evokes Scottish highlands, Lake Carezza, and Belle Époque Paris. Powered by Caliber M690 (an evolution of the M660, moving the seconds to 9 o'clock), it delivers the same hand-finished excellence. The color, name, and spirit honor absinthe's Swiss origins—fitting for this Geneva-made creation.
Angelus Chronographe Télémètre × Massena LAB
A 10-piece limited edition featuring a 37mm 18k gold case—the brand's smallest modern chronograph—powered by the hand-wound Calibre A5000 monopusher movement. The movement's lineage traces to the legendary THA Ébauche, while the telemeter scale and period-correct 9.25mm thickness make it a faithful yet contemporary expression of mid-century military timing precision.
Urban Jürgensen UJ-2
William Massena also offered a watch from his personal collection during the event. The Urban Jürgensen UJ-2 in rose gold marks the brand's rebirth under Kari Voutilainen, featuring his signature double-wheel natural escapement—a mechanism so difficult to produce it requires 565 hours per movement and eliminates sliding friction for superior efficiency. This 39.5mm × 10.9mm time-only watch pairs a 5N rose gold case with a sterling silver dial hand-guillochéd in Grain d'orge pattern.
Massena Lab Archetype 1.0
Powered by the hand-wound Peseux 7040 with a custom 3D execution bridge, this time-only watch reimagines 1940s officer's watch proportions with modern refinement. The 7mm ultra-slim case features a domed hesalite crystal and a Breguet-style dial with engine-turned subdails, applied numerals, and DLC-treated hands
Old School by Massena LAB and Luca Soprana
Revisiting the "montre d'école" tradition twenty years into his career, Soprana crafts a 41.5mm steel watch where every component, from the blued steel hands to the crown, is handmade in Soprana's Vaumarcus castle atelier, earning chronometer certification from the Horological Society of New York. It features a hand-frosted German silver sector dial and the hand-wound Caliber LS-01 with a three-quarter plate in maillechort, straight-grain finishing, gold chatons, swan-neck regulator, and bi-metallic balance, all signed "Massena & L. Soprana."
A big thank you to William Massena and all the collectors who came along for such a wonderful trunk show!
