Lang & Heyne event September 2026
Welcome the CEO of Lang & Heyne, Dr.-Ing. Daniel T. Roy and Alexander Gutierrez Diaz, and Sales Director, Gülsen Tek, for joining us in the brands collaborative event in September, celebrating 25th anniversary of the brand with their 25-piece limited Friedrich III Power Reserve, and showcasing other amazing creations of the brand.
Friedrich III Power Reserve
To mark its 25th anniversary, Lang & Heyne is introducing the Friedrich III Power Reserve. Limited to 25 pieces, this edition combines a newly developed power reserve indicator with a three-part ceramic dial and newly designed wide pear-shaped hands. Inside, the Caliber VI-II builds on the classic architecture of the Caliber VI. A compact differential gear measures the tension in the mainspring and displays the remaining power reserve at 12 o'clock.
The power reserve indicator is a highly practical yet often misunderstood watch complication. Born from functional marine chronometers and precision observation watches rather than decorative horology, it reveals the remaining energy stored in a watch’s mainspring. As mainspring tension fades, energy delivery becomes inconsistent, harming timekeeping accuracy. This vital complication lets wearers track winding status, wind the watch timely for steady precision, and avoid overwinding that strains movement components, prioritizing functional accuracy over mere ornamentation.
At the Lang & Heyne manufactory, the power reserve indicator is found in the Friedrich III Power Reserve model. Developed for the manufactory's 25th anniversary, it takes the proven Caliber VI a step further: the new Caliber VI-II adds an additional differential gear with two crown-toothed wheels to its architecture, mounted entirely under its own bridge and thereby kept independent of the rest of the movement's architecture:
