Why oil? What makes Ressence TYPE3 so unique among oil-filled watches?
Does anyone have the same questions? In the watch-making industry, Ressence is not the only brand producing oil-filled watch. So what makes it stand out and how Ressence justifies the price difference? When putting a loupe towards Type3, what could you see? Therefore, we have written to Benoît Mintiens, founder and creative mind of Ressence. “You compare a mass-produced-medium-range-car with a Formula 1. Yes, they both have an engine and 4 wheels…” Benoît Mintiens. First and foremost, Ressence is the only mechanical watch ever with oil inside; while all others are quartz watches. This explains the most differences. All quartz watches have bubbles, otherwise they will explode under heats. Thanks to the R&D input, Ressence has developed a bellow system to compensate oil dilatation and contraction caused by temperature changes between -5 degrees and +55 degrees Celsius. It is a self-equilibrating pressure-balance system, graphically representing by a temperature gaAnd more

Erosion shapes HYT H5
Mountains, rivers, cliffs and plateaus are all shaped by the nature process, as well as HYT latest H5. As fluid as usual, HYT is looking into the time in a moving and everchanging way. H5 has first landed in HK The Lavish Attic last December and HYT CEO Gregory Dourde are excited to presenting his new concepts. Erosion refers to the gradual destruction by the natural agents. The 3 dimensional and crystal-clear dome sapphire allows the process to be revealed. Components are placed layer by layer and parts are architecturally crafted to generate the contour lines. At the end of the day, erosion takes decades and centuries and never stop, like how water flows, like how fluid flows in the HYT glass capillary tube. H5 comes in two version, green and black fluid. The new hand-winding 501 caliber allows 65 hours power reserve. An over-sized, curved lever connects the movement’s collaborating elements. DLC Coating For New Standards of Design and Durability
Blaken has a quick flash to Hong Kong last week. A very considerate and supportive CEO Alex picked a good selection of watches to the event that can take home immediately. Instead of being a watch brand, Blaken is more into making your dream watch alive by using a high quality of DLC coating and hand painted dial that allow you to give your emotional and personal taste to an ordinary watch. Let's take a chemical tutorial. With the movement untouched, all the parts are disassembly. Blaken would only accept new watches in order to achieve the best coating effect. The parts are evenly and neatly put into a 3-tier machine. Well locked for DLC coating. It's a vacuum and dustless environment where anode reacts with cathode. Blaken DLC coating is not done by painting or spraying but electrochemical process to change the body of the substance. Plasma gently stick onto the surface of watch parts like falling snow. The process takes 16 days for a flawless coating. If it'sAnd more

The sub-dials on the watch indicate hours, minutes, seconds and day of the week. The simple presentation is supported by the patented ROCS complication which works as a brain behind the face. With the passion to engineering and watchmaking, Jens has been trained in Glashutte and significantly involved in the development of ZEITWERK in A. Lang & Sohne. How to Trust a Watch- Ressence TYPE 2 is Realizing The Future of Fine-Watchmaking
Good morning. When you wake up and put the watch on your wrist, how do you know the information you receive from the watch is accurate? Therefore, you check your phone. The founder and creative mind of Ressence, Benoît Mintines, trying to retain TRSUT towards the timepiece. TYPE 2 e-Crown is born to serve this purpose as a fully mechanical watch. Connecting to an app is an option but not a must. The journey begins by double-tapping the sapphire glass to activate the e-Crown. Then the dial replies by a slight shaking, saying ‘Hi, what would you like me to tell?’ And don’t get it wrong, it’s not a touch screen. The accelerometer turns the vibration into command. So how does the e-Crown build up the TRUST? Kept inside there’s the UTC time. So once it has recorded the time, it will always referring to it unless you re-set the time manually.
